In 1984 I created a workshop for women with eating disorder traits called the "What's Eating You?" workshop. This is a structured workshop that meets twelve times for one hour and fifteen minutes. I usually have eight women in the workshop. In 1996 I began selling my book: Compulsive Eater's Workbook, A Guide For Women Recovering From Bulimia and Compulsive Eating. Click here to order.

The following are quotes from clients who either participated in the workshop and/or utilized the book and CD. Click here to purchase your copy.

"The book was well-written and easy to follow. I learned a lot from the book about myself and how to cope with these problems. I was afraid at first to be in a workshop. I didn't want others to know about me. I found out in the first workshop that I was not alone and everyone had the same kind of fears and problems. The workshop was one of the best things I have done for myself."

"The book is great, it is easy to follow. You can always use it to fall back on in a moment of sadness. It can lift your spirits. The workshop was very helpful to me. I learned to deal with feeling my emotions, not eating them."

"I have been trying to lose weight and take control of my eating habits for years. I was unsuccessful until I read the Compulsive Eater's Workbook and worked with Jill. Now I understand myself so much better. I still read the book every once in awhile to reinforce the skills Jill and her book taught me. I'd recommend the workshop to anyone sick of diets, expensive weight loss centers, and all other temporary weight loss regimes. This book will teach you about yourself, and your habits, in a way nothing has before."

Workshop-Summer 1996

"I found this book very easy to understand and packed full of important and extremely helpful tips and information! Women who suffer from eating disorders do need a book like this to guide them and remind them that there are reasons for their behavior and ways they can gain control. Jill explained the why and how to's in a wonderfully sensitive and creative step-by-step journey."

"The Compulsive Eater's Workbook is a very professionally written manual, that's very practical for clients in their healing process in dealing with their compulsive eating patterns. What seems to be most helpful for my clients is the section dealing with self image and exploring this issue to create new options for re-decisions in their lives. I highly recommend this manual for all individuals addressing the issue of compulsive eating in their life."

"I have recommended Jill's book to clients who had problems with binge eating and overeating. The scale describing how to read the hunger or satiety level has been found to be very helpful. I find that people with  disordered eating have not developed internal cues for recognizing when to stop eating. This book seems to focus on developing strong internal communications while also giving specific information on how to adapt/control external factors."

"I have based my "Healthy Eating" workshop on Jill's book. It continues to be my most helpful resource when working with compulsive eaters."
